2023 Domaine des Terres Dorées Sur le Haut des Arpents White
Tasting Notes
Although Beaujolais is known for its rugged granite soils, and how that terroir transmits through the Gamay grape, it is still technically a part of Burgundy. Jean-Paul Brun of Terres Dorées farms rare parcels of Chardonnay here, on even rarer limestone soils. The result, a wine with the classy mineral edge of a Burgundy Chardonnay with more fruit and vibrancy. This Beaujolais Blanc opens with notes of ripe, sweet lemon, toast, and a lick of wet stone, descending to a glassy palate with the same lemon tart notes, and a bright, vibrant finish.
Food Pairing
There's simply nothing better with a slightly richer Chardonnay than roast chicken with market vegetables, and tha's certainly true with this wine. Alternatively, it will go excellently with richer seafood dishes like brandade, or oysters rockefeller.

2023 Berry-Althoff Horizon
Tasting Notes
A wine that on its face seems a bit simple, but reveals layers upon layers of complexity, the Horizon opens with subtle notes of honey, white flowers, and a touch of cream, moving to a palate that wears its Mediterranean origins on its sleeve with salty seabreeze, ripe stonefruit, and a tense mineral finish.
Food Pairing
A lovely wine to contemplate on its own, the Horizon will be great with anything from the ocean: a whole, grilled Branzino, a crab cake with remoulade, or a plate of grilled prawns with herb butter will all be spectacular.

2023 Craig and Carla Hawkins Love is More than a Feeling White
Tasting Notes
While South Africa may be known widely for the famous crossing, Pinotage, we'd argue that the finest wines in the country come from old vine Chenin Blanc. Opening with vintage notes of chamomile honey, and just a whiff of wet stone, the palate is vibrant and citrus-tinged, with lemon-like acidity keeping everything fresh.
Food Pairing
A perfect aperitif, the Love is More than a Feeling is spectacular on its own, but will do very well beside a cheeseboard to begin, especially if goat cheese is on offer. It will also play very well with a variety of great festive soups like a lobster bisque, or roasted mushroom.
